Personal homestead records such as animal logs, garden logs, chores, emergency plans, notes, and supply lists are intended to remain private unless you choose to share or publish information through a public feature.

Some features may allow you to post or share information with other users. This may include Trading Post listings, Farm Stand listings, Porch Talk posts, Porch Light Map pins, profile information, listing photos, pickup city/state, and contact details you choose to provide.

Location Information

Homesteading Compass may use location information for weather, maps, marketplace listings, and Porch Light Map features. You control what location details you choose to enter or publish. Public map and listing features may show approximate or selected location details depending on your settings.

Photos and Uploaded Content

If you upload photos for animal profiles, listings, support messages, or other app features, those images may be stored so the feature can work properly. Photos attached to public listings or public posts may be visible to other users.

Messages, Reports, and Community Safety

If you send messages, post community content, submit reports, or contact support, that content may be stored and reviewed as needed to operate the app, respond to issues, enforce rules, and protect users.

Payments and Subscriptions

If paid subscriptions, in-app purchases, or ads are offered, payment processing is handled by the app store or applicable third-party provider. Homesteading Compass does not directly collect full payment card information.

Homesteading Compass may use third-party services to operate the app, including services for authentication, database storage, file storage, maps, weather, app updates, analytics, crash/error reporting, and app store purchases.

You can edit many records inside the app, remove listings or posts where available, adjust privacy settings, and choose what information to share publicly.
